  1. I loved how every text and film were approaching Jamaican history to us, letting us know even in a abbreviated way how the country has evolved since the beginning of the twentieth century. For that reason, i'm looking forward to take the South Africa/Apartheid course next semester. Have a great New Year's Eve, Benjy!

  2. I like to see how the history of Jamaica have many similarities (but also differences) with us, the latino american people, who also were colonized. And hopefully, we have texts and movies to make it simple and fun.
So, I'm very happy to being able to participated in this course.
Best wishes to you, Teacher Benjy! And happy holidays.

  3. Just like with the previous course, Africa and Apartheid in film, I really enjoyed the movies we reviewed in class. Watching the productions from unknown studios, as well as the cinema history of a country like Jamaica, is very interesting to me. I think it is very important to look at how the context and history of these nations can be told in creative ways.

  6. What I liked the most was learing about Jamaica, its history and it's reality, which was really different of what I thought . Even though the movies were not my thing, is safe to say that they were really useful to show us the real Jamaica and society's reality.
